Format & Rules

Competition Structure

• Platform: PlayStation 5 (PS5)
• Game Mode: Ultimate Team (Online Friendlies) - 1v1
• Match Length: 6-minute halves, normal speed
• Team Selection: Players use their own Ultimate Team squads (no restrictions on overall rating)
• Double Elimination: Every player gets a second chance; lose twice and you're out

Key Rules

• All matches must be played on the specified server (Kenya/South Africa) to ensure fair connection.
• Players must join the official KenyaGamers Discord server for match coordination and reporting.
• Any form of cheating, exploiting, or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification.
• Match results must be submitted within 15 minutes of completion via the provided form.
• In case of a disconnection, the match will be restarted from the point of disconnection if the score is tied; otherwise, the player with the lead advances.

Prize Pool

The total prize pool is KES 150,000, distributed as follows:

Prizes will be paid via M-Pesa or bank transfer within 7 days of the finals. Additional in-game rewards may be announced for top performers.

How to Register via WhatsApp

Registration is simple and open until August 26, 2026. Follow these steps:

2. Send a WhatsApp message with the text: "EA FC 26 REGISTRATION" followed by your full name, in-game ID, and region (e.g., Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu).
3. You will receive a confirmation with payment details for the entry fee of KES 500 (payable via M-Pesa to the provided till number).
4. Once payment is confirmed, you'll be added to the official tournament WhatsApp group and Discord server.

1. Do I need a PS5 to participate?

Yes, all matches are played on PS5. If you don't have a PS5, you can still register if you have access to one (e.g., at a gaming lounge). The LAN finals will provide PS5 consoles, but online qualifiers require your own console.

2. Can I participate from outside Nairobi?

Absolutely! The qualifiers are online, so players from any region in Kenya can join. Only the finals are held in Nairobi, and travel costs are the player's responsibility. However, we may provide accommodation for finalists if sponsors come on board.

3. What happens if I miss a match?

If you miss your scheduled match without prior notice, you will be disqualified from the tournament. We understand emergencies, so please inform the admin via WhatsApp at least 2 hours before your match time to reschedule.
